TENK OM LYSENE KUNNE SNAKKE.. !

Det var helt stille,..

så stille at man kunne høre lysene snakke til hverandre.

Det første lyset sukket og sa: "Mitt navn er fred. Jeg skinner klart, men menneskene vil ikke ha fred." Lyset ble mindre og mindre, til slutt slukket det helt.

Det andre lyset sa: "Mitt navn er tro. Men jeg er blitt overflødig. Menneskene har mistet sin tro." Så slukket det andre lyset.

 

Bedrøvet og med lav stemme sa det tredje lyset: "Mitt navn er kjærlighet. Jeg eier ikke lenger kraften til å brenne. Menneskene overser meg." Også det tredje lyset sluknet.

Et barn kom inn i rommet, så redd på lysene og sa: "Dere skal jo lyse og ikke slukne? Hvorfor vil dere ikke brenne?

"Da hørtes plutselig stemmen til det fjerde lyset: "Vær ikke redd! Så lenge jeg brenner, kan vi tenne de andre lysene igjen. Mitt navn er Håp." Og barnet tok så en flamme fra håpets lys med en fyrstikk og tente igjen alle de andre lysene.

I made some beads

 I've been MIA because of my hand-injurie, but now I'm getting my but in gear and have made a few things.

At work I've been on an active sickleave, that means that I'm only doing things I'm able to and there is a person there doing my work, and I've been making murals.
When the girls at work saw that one of them wanted a painting for her son.

And just to add, she is the biggest Winnie the Pooh fan.

The painting is 30x90 cm, in acrylic paint.

And I've made beads!!!!!! The day I hurt my hand I had planned to make some beads when I got home, but no.......

It is a little bit difficault to turn the mandrels with my right hand still but I'll get better at it:)

The leaves are Aurae(DH) and Nyx (DH) coe 104.

And the buttons are gray and white Effetre coe 104.

And of course I've knittet. A Milo (ravelry link) west without the cables, knittet in Pt 5. A beautiful and easy pattern.  Mittens in online yarn, felted mittens and some socks all my own pattern.

So now I think now I'll be able to do most of my hobbies again.

YAY!!!

Unlucky

Tuesday I was on my way to pick up my son from afterschool-care. Don't ask me how it happened, but I tripped and fell.

So now I am at home with torn tendents and broken fingers.

Long live lazyness, next time remember to lift my feet a little bit higher.

Finally I had made something jewellery related. These earrings ar made with freshwater pearl ,that I got in a secret friend gift some time ago, and
swarovski golden shadow crystal. All metal is sterling.
These earrings are made with beads i got from my mentor ,so to speak, she is always helpful and sheres her wisdom with us humble pesents:)

The earhoocks are sergical steel and other metal is copper.



Now this is todays picture. Now my sons are off to school.
I'm going to take it easy, knit a little bit (because that is the only craft I can do), and enjoy today.
At first I am on sick leave for one week and I hope this won't take forever.

Are 5-6 weeks a long time????

Finally an update from me.

It was about time to update here. I've been quite busy lately with a new job, school starting for my boys and real life.

In between I've taken a few moments for my self and relaxing with my knitting.

This is my favorite jacket knitted in Sterk, alpackablend. It's really a sock yarn but it is oh, so soft and the jacket is so good to wear. And i really like the colors together.
This shawl is knittet early this sommer and I forgot all about it. I can't even remember the name of the yarn.

But the pattern is travelling woman by Liz Abinante.

It was an easy knit and I think I maybe will knit this again sometime.

These socks are all knittet on my sommervacation . The yarn is all leftovers from my colorfull jacket. The sizes are ca 30-34 in eouropeean sizes.

Also some leftover knitting.

A jacket (allmost) for my son in doble plötulopi. The pattern is a free pattern only available in Icelandic.

This sweater is also knittet for my son in one ply plötulopi.

It seems like I'm getting ready for the coldest winter ever, but the fact is that my boy is probably not going to wear any of this. But a mother can hope...........c",)

Now I'm knitting a dress for my self. And the progress is good. But now I'm waiting for my hubby and oldest son to get home from church. And then we are going canooing .:)

A trip to the thrift store.

I was in my neighbourtown today to shop for food. (Payday, you know)
And I had decided to go to the secondhand/salvationarmy/thrift store. I love that store. I always find something.
I was hoping to find an old knitting book or something craft-realated. The only thing I found were books about pressing flowers, and that my dear, is not my cup of tea.
However, taking a rapid look at the shelves with fabric: Bling, ding, ding..... Lookie here, what is this????

I saw somehing yellow, something familiar from my childhood. Yes. Yes, it is............ A duvetcover in lovely '70 yellow hues. I had to have it. And there were 2, a set! So now my washing mashine is washing my lovely new bedlinens :)
I'm so at peace.............................. And that was not all..... Oh, no. I found my self a new/old alarmclock!!!!!!!

Itsn't awesome???!?

Its fire-engine red and has glow int the dark numers and pointers. And best of all it has no batterys. I'll have to wind it up every knitht.

Oh, this is like being back at my grandparents farm.

Just imagine laying down at night and hearing the sounds of the clock, like a lulleby, singing me to sleep.................................

Aqua,teal, beautiful colors.

Can there ever be enough of aqua/teal color in the world? I wonder????
In my humble opinion, NO.
On monday I'll start working in a kindergarten. The children I will work with are in the age 3-5. I am so looking forward to this. I really needed to try something else for a while.
This west is partly my pattern and partly this: Vormorgun by Védís Jónsdóttir. It's knittet in one ply platelopi and on 3,5 needles.


It is not fittet in any way at the waist. I'm not a "thight" person in any way and I like my clothes to be a little ( or quite more than little would some say) loose. This west will, I think be a perfect garment to use at work whwn it gets colder.



Another aqua/teal thing from me. This is a button made by me. It is made out of italian glass, from Moretti. My beads have gone through a wool washing cykle and survived, so I think this one vill do to.

This is one of my owls. It's quite small, about 1,5 cm tall. Its a little beauty, in my opinion, hehe, that is what we all think about our "babies".

Take a look at this blog. She is a skilled knitter. And she has a themecolor now and then.

Endelig!! / Finally

2oo5 kom denne boken ut og jeg skrev ned tittelen med en gang i min syvende sans og lofte meg selv at den skulle jeg kjøpe. Men årene har gått og jeg har aldri sett denne boken før i dag!!

In 2005 this book came out and I promised my self that I would buy it someday. But the years have gone by and I've never seen this book in the store until today!

For en bok!! Det finnes noe for enhver i denne boken. Forskjellige aldresgrupper og inne og uteleker. Jeg gleder meg til å ta den i bruk.

Og som vanen er her hos meg så har jeg mange arbeidsjern i ilden. Her viser jeg frem strikketøy som var godt på veien til å bli en UFO. Men jeg dro meg selv godt i nakkespekket og satte i gang igjen. Dette skal bli en sleng-jakkegenser til meg selv. Og siden jeg har fått en vikariat i barnehage så passer det fint at den er fargerik. Jeg strikker ikke etter oppskrift derfor blir resultatet ganske spennende.

Jeg strikker i Sterk. Et alpakkagarn ispedd med litt nylon for forsterkning. (jeg kommer sikkert til å bli kjent de neste 20 årene som dama i "den stripete jakkaen...")

And as usual I have many other projekts. This is something I was knitting and it was on ther verge of becoming an UFO. But I picked my self up by the neck and continued. This is going to be a nice throw-on-jacket. And since I've gotten a one year contract in a kindergarten,it's quite appropiate that it's colerfull. I'm knitting in Sterk (Strong), an alpacka yarn with a littlebit of nylon in it. So after about 20 years I'm going to be known as "that lady in the stripet jacet". c",)

I dag stoppet jeg også på Stoff og stil. Vi her på det gode sørland er så heldige å ha fått en S&S butikk her. Dette stoffet og stoffet under er påprintet jersey som skal bli til kjole og /eller skjørt til meg selv.:)

Og jeg brenner litt perler. Dette er eneste uglen jeg har tatt bilde av. Jeg lagde noen stykker som er på utstilling i Tollboden i Lillesand. Der har jeg også smykker og knapper.
