Maby my mojo is back

For such a long time I haven´t made anything bead related. I don't know why.
I just think life got in the way, and maby my mojo went on vacation to a far, far away land.

Here in Norway it's a full vinter with all the trimmings. Nice for those that ski. And for knitters, because then we can show off our labour, made with love.
But jewellry, well, it isn't the best of season for that. Who goes around with a patch of bare skin???????

It's too cold. But I hang in there and I'm waiting for sun and spring.
My necklace is made of my own lampwork beads, handmade sterling chain and a few swarovski krystals.

I love the ivory, turqoise and edp purple here. I am so lookinf forward to start to melt glass again. I need more hours to the day.

I'm working this weekend so I will not torch ,  but my knitting needles will probably be in use as always.
Hurray for knitting!!
It kept me busy when I stopped smoking. It has now been 2,5 years.
I can buy a lot og glass and yarn in stead of using it on sigarettes :)
Me like.

Have a beautiful weekend everybody and cross your fingers for my eldest who is going on stage in a talent contest to morrow night:)

Guess what??

Again I've knitted  the traditional Marius sweater with a round yoke.
It was commissioned by an ex co-worker of mine.  She wanted one for her son and one for a cousin of her son.

The one on the right is the most common colors and then she wanted one in red and white.
I like the pattern and have made now 5 of these sweaters, and I guess I'll probably make a few more in the future.

We've finally got snow here in Norway and I think this winter  I'll have to make a real effort to learn how to use my cross contry skies. But the slightest hill or down-hill scares me. I'me sure I will fall down and brake something. My track record isn't good when it comes to outdoor activities.

But maby my ballance is better now since I take Zumba! class 3 times a week.

Well off to snow and skies:)
Have a beautiful day my lovlies<3

Online again

I been missing the last 10 day because we lost our internett connection . And it took the phonecompany such a long time to understand that the problem was with them and not us. So finally I'm online again.
I've knitted a few of these.
I like them a lot and think they are classic and timeless in the design.

The pattern is: Susie's Reading mitts (Ravelry link)
Yarn: Gestal Kamgarn
Needle: 3mm

My youngest son made me this lovely felted heart at school. And I got it as a christmas present.
 I think its gorgeous:)

Godt nytt år. Happy new year.

Happy new year to you all:)
I've been abcent for a long while now.  I have been busy, but not that busy. I have no good reason for beeing away for such a long while. But there you go, so is life:)

I've have knittet, sewed, but have not done so much jewellry. I had a kitchen fan in my " beading room" and our proper fan in the kitchen broke and we had to take mine. And as the economy is now a days it wasn't my first priority to buy a new one.
I put it on my wish list for christmas and my DH  bought me a new ventilator. I havn't put it up yet because I need to make a funnel for it.  You know: TTT things take time:)

I have knittet quite a few items on a commission. 2 marius sweaters with a round yoke and fingerless mitts.
It is quite nice to knit for others and to see their faces when they get what they wanted.

As you may have noticed before, I have a thing for owls. I always had.
Just before christmas I was shopping(!!!) and I saw these pretty simple white owls.
And the light holder I got from my father and my stepmom last christmas. I think they are so lovel together.

But it doesn't stop there.
I've also knitted one, hehe.

It's quite big and we have it in the TV- lounge. Its nice and cuddely. And I love it.
Who knows maby there will be more.
I found the pattern on Ravelry:

Knitting for others.

Knitting for others means that you often have to make something you would never have done in a gezillion years.

Well, that is what I have been doing. Low and behold................. The "Start" sweater. (A norwgian soccerclub)

It is , at least in my eyes one of the ugliest sweaters imaginable. But mayby others think not.
My opinion is really peppered with my dislike for the pattern.  Many charts, not numbered , so you always have to stare at the photo to guess, long stretches where you have to twine the threads ( because it is a childs sweater) and I didn´t like the yarn that is for this pattern. It is  Smart from sandnes, and my son tried it on to help me fit it it the neckline, and he said it iched, and he loves wool!!

Well enough of my bashing about a pour pattern.

I havn´t made much in the last week because I work 5-6 days a week and take Zumba! class 3 nights a week. If you havn´t tried Zumba! before I absolutely recomend it!!!
It is all they say in the commercial!!!!

Still stash busting

As I mentioned in a previous post I´m stashbusting. Im going to have a stall in a local market on friday the 19th. And therefore I´ve been knitting things I wouldn´t othewise have knitted.
I have 2 boys, no girls do I havn´t knitted so much girlystuff:)
But now i have knittet after a free pattern:
Hine is a girl. By. Kelly Brooker.

I made those pink buttons . They are lampworked out of  italian glass.
Hine  is a wonderful pattern and really easy.

Since I liked the pattern so much I made two of them :P
And who knowes, mayby there will be more of them with  some small modifications.
